You deserve an actual reply now that I have a few minutes. :) I agree, but I don't take fairy tales too seriously. They are products of their time. I am less forgiving of modern interpretations that don't address the problematic aspects in some way.
And speaking of your icon, did you choose it because Elisa dresses as Belle in one of the early episodes?
